hey i was talking to a guy on AIM about some sample pgms and he already has a hd in his 1000!!!! he got it put together by a guy who knows about computers, i'm not sure exactly how it works but he does indeed have a hd in there! pretty damn cool.....

i encouraged him to post his story on this thread, hopefully he will.

just a question..... did you actually see the 1k with the hard drive in it? or did he just tell you he has one in it?

the latter. i'm a trusting individual. plus he was hooking me up with a bunch of real nice samples...i have no reason not to believe him other than the fact that you don't have one yet, sparq, and you're the man...we'll see. we'll all have them soon enough.

OK, here is your first look at the HDM10
(and no, those aren't my hands)

Once the drive is installed, you have to format it then you can immediately use it. (only up to 2gb) once the new OS comes out and you install the OS, it will automatically remove the partition and all of your data will be retained. (not lost) YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO REFORMAT THE DRIVE

man that is sweet! so you just "slide" that baby in?

A cool thing would be to make a hole or make it easy to open the front. Then u could make backups/transfers easy in to a computer 8)

But i would not make a hole though

here is something you can also buy (non-akai) if you want to back up the entire drive at once. (the only set back to this is you would have to take the drive out each time)

edit:
not to be used in conjunction with the mpc. this is totally a separate thing. this is just an suggestion on how to back up a 40gb drive that's in the mpc.

whats the point if its only 2 gb?
then again even if you could use say a 20 gb hd which they hardly manufacture nowadays, so say 40 gb.

thats 40,000 MB approximately (forget formatting issues)

WHO IN THE **** WILL BE ABLE TO UTILISE 312.5 128 MB SETS?
