Factory 2500 sound for the 1K (BLUE)

Sparq, do you know if the program files you uploaded from the 2500 are the same as 1000 OS 2.0 program files?

The top of the MPC 2500 program files say "MPC1000 PGM 1.01".

I could start working on an update to MPC Pad 187...

i don't know what pgms (if new) akai will come out with when 2.0 drops but i think if not the same exact thing, they will probably come out with something similar to show usage of the patch phrase feature just like with the 2.5k. however, to be more precise to your question, i don't think this is the same sound set due to the fact that there are two pgms on here called 2500 and 2500AD.

but for the most part, i think you can start your update to MPC Pad 187 because other than those two pgms that i just mentioned all the programs in the 2.5k set can be used on the 1k.

if you look some of the pgms, they layered the hell out some of those drums.


btw- can someone please tell me how the patch phrase pgm sound and if the tempo changes when you manually change the tempo. i don't know if it will work with OS 1.07 since i don't have that OS anymore, i can't tell.

OMG, those where even worse than the 1ks... they are making fools out of themselves when putting in these horrific presets. Why don't they just pay some relatively good guy to make the presets man....

Cause the like to save as much money as they can.

Hey sparq, really nice bank, thanks for sharing. I lost a good few hours sleep last night playing with the soundbank alone. Made a couple nice beats, I think Im submiting a couple of them on my beat collabo thing
Some sounds are definitely going into my fave folder, precious little gems
(and yea, brl, that KIK sound is the first to go, was searching for just this right sound for some stuff I have in mind- I think its a version of an akai gate kick sample with the same name I have from another sample-cd)
