Put politely, yes indeed samuraisam, i see where you're coming from, but I am loathe to disagree with you, as are many other comrades on this forum. Akai do not appear to be treating their customers in a very nice way. That's just not cricket!
Personally, I think it's wrong for chaps (or ladies - you just don't know these days!) to have to pay additional monies for another hard disk drive when they have upgraded to the most recent operating system.
I shall be writing to my local Member of Parliament on this issue (in this case, it's Prime Minister Tony Blair). Maybe he can get President George Shrub - sorry, Bush, to bomb Akai and Seagate into submission.
