New black mpc 1000 has new pads inside [Updated w/Pics]

i just purchased my unit about 2 months ago. Im wondering why i didnt get mine.

will i be able to return my mpc even though its been over the 30 days. what would i explain to them for them to take it back.

The New Pads won't work right without os 2.11

So if your black mpc1000 didn't come with 2.11 installed you are SOL with the new pads.

It would be the best deal though, you would only be out for the cost of shipping (which couldn't be more than 30 dollars total for both ways)

but the serial wouldnt match up to the one on the box im very sure u would get caught very fast cuz i once tryed it with my ps1 back in the day

not if you just swap the pad assembly.

with lower sensitivity, it's harder to get 127, and i want to break no pad for now, so i keep 16 all the time.

can you confirm that they are the old ones?
can anybody tell me how mpd-24 behaves with mpc, please?

Sound like the old ones to me.

The Akai MPD24 and MPC 1000 will work together fine.
And IMO is a better way to spend $200.00

i was lucky enough to return my mpc back
but the store i returned it at didn't have any new ones in stock
they had no idea that there were new ones
i was at another guitar center yesterday
the model they had on the floor was the newer 1000 w/ the new pads
here's where i'm a little confused
the guy helping me today when i returned it was able to see when each store received shipments of mpcs
the one w/ the floor display with the newer pads was received in july of this year
the one i bought a couple weeks ago was received in september
i find that a little weird
so there's another guitar center that just received a shipment of 1000's
and its getting shipped to the guitar center i returned mine at
so we'll see in a day or two if its the newer ones w/ the new pads
i'm praying to god it is
and the guitar center employees that helped me were pretty ignorant
i was getting frustrated w/ them
they had no clue about how the new pads differ from the old ones
and they kept trying to convince me that nothing was wrong w/ mine
and they had no idea about new ones w/ new pads being shipped
does anyone have any idea of when the ones w/ the new pads were shipped??

could you do me a big favor and take the faceplate off your new mpc (it's not that hard, there's instructions on page 9 of the pad sticky thread), snap a picture of the new pads, and send it to me so that I can e-mail it back to Akai like:

"Oh really, then how do you explain THIS!: <BAM! Hit em with the attached photo!>"

actually, when a distributor receives a product returned for being defective, they sent it back to the manufacturer for credit.

it wouldn't be defective though, all you have to say is you weren't satisfied for whatever reason and you can return it. All they would do is restock it

come on, people **** about akai screwing them over, then try to screw other people over by exchanging pads on return units.

I have a blue 1000 and most of my pads suffer from the double trigger problem. I am pissed, akai should at least drop the price a bit.

stil, if you don't like being screwed, don't screw other people.

man up and buy the upgrade or go with roland products.
