When I first heard about this I was excited. But now that I think about it. Why would I want a hard drive in my MPC1000?
I mostly just use it as a one-hit drum sampler and as a sequencer for external gear. I have a one gig CF card that ain't full yet. It loads pretty quick. I have GIGS of drum samples and loops but why would I want to wade through all that stuff on the MPC1000 tiny screen?
I guess I could dump a bunch of samples on the hard drive instead but I don't see that happening. I use that great BlueBox program. Unless Akai ports that to the MPC1000
.
I record to my computer too.
I can't think of any reason to have a hard drive in the MPC1000.
Why is everyone so excited about this? I must be missing something.
