This might be a really obvoious question (and I have read the manual),
Does anyone use the mute group function for drum programming on the MPC1000?
I program my hats on one track then I do my kick n snares on another and I want my snares to hit hard without any hat in them( i need my snares to overwrite the hat). The problem is, it seems like the both snare and hat play together and create a clip sound. I have suceeded a few times in getting the snare to overlap the hat but then eventually it goes back to the hat overlapping the snare.
No huge drama I can just do this shit in step repeat and remove the hat in there but it would be convenient to it using mute groups.
i'm keen to see if anyoine is doing beats this way.
thanks
