Do you thinh any1 else would want this?

I was thinking about making one truly portable. I know it can be done by removing the power converter on the inside and run it with a laptop external batterey. does anyone have pics of the mpc1000 guts. I need it for reference. anyway i will doing this later this month. :)

i was going to use an external laptop battery to power it and they ussaly come with a meter and its own charger. people use them to extend the battery life of their laptops. the mpc would sit on top of it the battery is about the same footprint as the mpc1000

ps thanks for the pics

i always envisioned it on the outside cause i did not think you could fit a battery in side, at least not one with a long enough charge. also i still want to be able to plug it in basicaly with a wall wart. i know this thing doesnt use 110volts it has no moving parts. i know it has a converter on the inside all i am really doing is placing the transformer on the outside similar to a laptop charger, nice pics now would anone have any specs especialy power consumption.

i would be ALLL ABOUT IT

i love my mpc cause its really more portable thn my laptop - no soundcard needed - no controller needed - just a mic and some headphones -

being able to hook it up to a battery pack would make me take it evvvverrryywhere

think of that -- with the hardrive and the full ram -- damn -- the thing would be quuiiet serious
