from what i understand. as soon as your local supplier runs out of current stock, all new orders will be the new black ones. if you already have a 1k (red+blue) there will be black case kits that will be available for purchase to replace the red/blue case.

and thats gonna take 100s of years. So i recommend u buy a cheap used blue one and go for the black convertion kit as sparq said.

do you goes think it would be for after holidays or before the hoilday?

or should i just get the one thats out now ?

you gonna use it to make beats or use it as a paperweight? if you wanna make beats with it, why wait for it to come out in a new color?

find out from your local dealer how many 1k's they still have in inventory and they think they will order more, if it's not until after the holidays then get one now then buy the black kit when it comes out.

i suggest you buy them out of stock and then when they re-up on black mpcs you return them all and get a black one.

Yeah, that would be the move. Then he can sell his blue and red housing to someone else with a banged up unit for half the price. Someones bound to buy it if they don't wanna spend the money on the black housing and maybe want to use it for a custom paint job.

but the black one's have all gray buttons and slider's. can u replace them easily too?

To wait for the black one is ridiculous. Its a SAMPLER NOT A FASHION STATEMENT. And by the way yes I painted my sides, but I would never wait to pick up a great machine until it came in a particular color. Come on now.

but when i say ,,, should i wait for the mpc 1000,,the new one that comes in black ,,, is more like should i wait and get more feat on it
then the first mpc 1000,,,, its not for the color ,,, do you guys think it would be a better machine

If you buy now then the mpc1k= no timestretch, zoning, harddrive. but if you decide to
wait unitl about christmas or after and you'll most likey get these features. Now remeber we do not know for sure that these features will be in the new os update so don't get your hopes up, if you do end up buying the 1k now, and then 2 months for now what happen to what we were promised. Because Akia hasn't promised us sh!t. the machine as is. Is great by itself, or if needed it is computer friendly. Me personally i say buy the dam thing, and upgrade as you go. i mena by upgrading the ram to 128, and a 512mb, or 1gig cf card you'll be fine. But if you want to wait then wait. But please, and i mean please don't buy this machine expecting some of the features i mentioned above to come along eventually. Buy it as it is, and whatever conmes along is just an added bonus to an already cool piece of technology.

anyone know if i can put the black casing on my mpc with the current os or do i have to wait until for the update????? just kiddin
