Just wondered if anyone had tried developing a tiltable screen for the 1000? I know this comes with other models but not the 1000.

This would be a good extra, maybe as an add-on that clips onto the current screen, using a mirror system or something (which I personally know nothing about)

I love using the MPC, but don't love the neck-ache after a beat-making session..

couldnt you just position your woman doggy style, and strap it on her back, then plug headphones in and increase volume; that way you have an excuse for not responding / listening.

i use a vhs tape to prop it up. no complaints.

however, i woul dlike to manufacture some kind of mobile table that adjusts to different heights and angles.

you can buy one at zzounds.com, but i like to build things

my solution as a student is to use my fat 3 ring philosophy binder full of the readings we had to print out.

finally, that idiot blase pascal is good for something.

I use a History of the World in 10 1/2 chapters.

Which I've never read.

But yeah proper tilt would be nice...we're all gonna look like hunchbacks by the time were 40...

Yeah I thought seriously about it half a year ago when I customized my 1k.
I have an engineering background and I think it would be possible as the display is mounted on it's own PCB which is connected to the other hardware with a flatcable. It would be very easy to lift it up and tilt it a little

You needed to make a hole as big as the outer edge of the transparant plastic which is currently covering the display and make a tilted housing which comes on top of the machine. You could reuse the covering-plastic to make it look perfectly authentic. I guess it would look like a baby MPC60.

Now that the black kit is coming it's even more fun, because colormatching of the housing is easier and if you screw up seriously when making the bigger hole you "simply" order a new housing.

On the other hand: to be productive is key and I would buy a 2500 and enjoy the extra Midi-Outputs rather than spending so much time.

I was thinking about copping one of these shoe racks from IKEA to ease my neck; its like 5 bucks.
It's no a perfect fit, its twice as wide as the 1K and an inch too shallow, maybe I'll put my mixer next to it... otherwise I'll just put shoes on it! :D

I use 2 Small L brackets with a screw at the ends that are on the side of the MPC1k. Tilts it perfect and the brackets cant flip up because they are being held down by the screws. I'm thinking about making a "How To Thread" for it.
