here's where the extended memory comes in hand..... you have to resample the song back into the 1k through the main out on the record page (mode+pad5) when you do that, it samples in as a wav file then just save it as a sample then transfer it to the pc. now you have a playable wav file of your song. then you can convert it to mp3.

yeah i seen that resample thing on futureproducers, but when i go to do that, the max record time it gives me is 39sec in stereo...so does that mean i would need the more ram?

my moneys on 16MB

By giggasean Mon Nov 14, 2005 1:38 am
yeah 16 mb...so thats basically the only way to get my beats off the 1k into mp3, buying the 128 mb?

By pad-ophiliac Mon Nov 14, 2005 1:40 am
thats the cheapest way. you could get a digital interface and some software and track you stuff out through the 1k outs.

b4 you buy memory or ask any questions about it, read through Penfold's sticky on the top of the 1k forum, about ram.

If you got a SPDIF jack on your computer's soundcard (it looks like an RCA phono jack), then just buy a SPDIF cable (75 Ohm) and you're straight. You can cop one at Radio Shack, Best Buy, Circuit City, Guitar Center, Sam Ash, or what ever electronics store you got around the way.

Or u could buy a cd recorder off ebay, burn the beat to cd than convert it on windows media player when u rip it into the library. Fast and easy.
