Pardon me if this has been asked before, but will the new OS allow sustain points to be set on a sample?

Right now, all 1.07 can do is attack & decay (if I remember correctly)

i'm not sure about that in v2.0 as i don't have a pedal to test it. i can ask though.

i think he's talking about a sustain stage in the envelop. Like: Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release
It doesn't have that on your demo's

Thanks, sparq.

One more question that you probably wont be able to answer:

Would I need a pedal to sustain a sample, or would I be able to simply hold a pad down?

Yeah, this is something I've wanted, too. It really helps with long phrase samples...

i think the sustain is there, it's just not called that on the amp envelope. if you think about it, the sustain level of an envelope equates to the volume of the sample playing while the pad is depressed. you just need to set the Dcy md to 'End', and then adjust the sample's volume (the Lvl field in Program mode) to get your different sustain levels.

What I meant by sustain points are basically loop points within a sample. You have attack, release, sustain start and end points, and the decay.

This is pretty useful when you want to hold down a pad and have the note "sustain" itself until the pad is released.

ok so how do you want it to loop?
you can either have it so the entire sample loops, or you can have it so that when you hit the pad, the first part of the sample plays, and then the area in between the loop repeats until you release the pad.
this is all in the manual by the way.
