Official Akai 2.1 announcement from.......

The day Y’all have been waiting for is here.

System 2.1 is posted to the Akai site at http://www.akaipro.com/supportos.php#MFC1000

On a personal note I would like to thank those of you our customers who were patient, mature, and complimentary. You were the ones who didn’t give into threats, pettiness and ignorant speculation. Those of you that didn’t make unreasonable demands left me free to help make this the best system it can be. You are the customers that any company would be proud to have.

I would like to also thank the fellow beta testers and my co-workers in Support who have been fielding your inquiries the last few days leaving me and others time to test the final details.

I can now tell you that the system released in Japan with the Black unit was a long ago beta version that was improperly called “2.0” and is by no means final since the MPC1000 is an evolving system.

I look forward to all of you getting this excited over the first new EWI to be released in 10+ years.
