Found away to make the harddisk stop running, in case your'e all nervous about shutting the 1000 off, without causing damage to the harddrive..

MODE, TRIM. -> The HD will then stop spinning after 5 seconds.

Hehe.. Let's call it Balls´Glitch

There may be other ways to do this, but this one works for sure.. at least for me.

i was assuming that the hd was only spinning when used (if selecting hd in sav or load). isnt it the case ?

Well to to tell the truth thats the only time my hard drive is actually spinning is when I'm loading or when Im saving. So is the "Balls Glitch" actually useful?

turning the hard drive off when it's spinning won't hurt it anyway. obviously though when it's writing something, don't switch it off.
