Hi folks - first post. Thanks for the knowledge people drop on here - I've been reading up! However, couldn't find anything on my issue...
I loaded the OS2.1 .bin file on the CF card.
I placed the CF card in the MPC.
I powered up the MPC whilst holding the 'window' button, but I get the message:
OS boot version 1.03.
CF card not inserted, please insert CF card.
I fiddle with the card - same thing. I pop it out and in - same thing. I power down and try the process again - same damn thing.
Now, if I turn on normally the MPC does not recognise the CF card. I tried another card and it still doesn't see the card. The load page shows a blank where the files on the CF card should be displayed (I have 'show all files' selected). I also tried powering up whilst holding 'erase' - still the CF card is not recognised.
So in trying to update the OS, I'm left with an MPC that I cannot load or save samples with!
Everything worked fine before, so it must be the software change. I checked the pin alignment in the CF slot and that is fine. This doesn't seem to be a hardware problem.
How can I get things working again? What should I do???
