ok thanks but can i ask. my drum loops are made up of individual samples (kick, snare, hat, etc).
when recording a loop i 'play' the whole loop onto one track. this enables me to make many loops available with different drum sounds on different tracks.
then i can switch between them using track mute or even just flicking the 'program' over at certain stages of the loop.
so ideally i'd like to have been able to keep one track going, break it down by say pressing pads to mute certain samples then bring in again and then change track by switching to track mute (as opposed to sample mute).
as a latecomer to the mpc (primarily switched for live reasons) am i being a bit thick and maybe missing something
i could have snares, hats, etc moved onto different tracks but i usually spend alot of time just jamming out the beat. tracks would require me almost to work in a computer type way (tracks).
unless there is an 'explode' track option??????? (which would mean seperate each hit to individual track)
sorry for long post, just was bugging me last night. if no such thing is there any thing like this on other mpcs?
