vocal pitch change?

Hey, I was wondering if there's any way to change the pitch on a vocal sample on the mpc. I tried to patch phrase it but it leaves big pauses in the sample. Is there any other way?

I've looked through it before and I can't find any other way than using patch phrase. Could someone explain a way for me?

well in the akai os you can use the pitch shift option but this is destructive to the sample, in the jj os you can do it right within the program mode and it is non-destructive to the sample, i don't remember if you can do this in the akai os, because i haven't used it in so so long.


And to dvs, not to be what is most likely going to be perceived as a jerk, but what you just did doesn't help, i'm sorry but i don't like it when people just tell noobies to go download the manual, they are new to the thing and need help, just help them out and go along with your business.

A lot of times people asking these questions don't even have a copy of the manual though and don't realize it's right online for free.

I after that it still couldn't be figured out then okay, I would have said exactly what to do But it's seriously one of the most basic functions of the MPC, or any sampler really that - no offense - if they coudln't figure out where to find that on their own, then this person is probably new to music gear and should probably be reading the manual anyhow.

So by reading the manual, the person can solve their problem as well as figure out solutions to other problems before they even encouner them.

I think you are confusing sth here, real time pitch shift is only possible while the sequence is not running...
