How To Reset The Sample Memory.

Ok everyone, heres a lame question from a newbie. Once you load in samples and max out your sample time how do you delete specific or all samples. I looked in the manual and tried to figure it out but when i erased the specific samples that I no longer wanted it still said that the memory was all used up even though the samples no longer existed. Is there a final process (like purge or something) to delete the samples? Or did I just do something wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thanks y'all!!!

Please specify what mpc you are using.....I don't know about the 2000 models but I can tell you that if you have a 4000 it has an option where you can purge samples.....!

oh yeah..... I am using a MPC-1000.... I think I tried that purge mode option but it didnt work (of course I probably did something wrong).... thanks!!

delete all the programs and then hit purge sounds.

Ok I must be really lame here..... I deleted the samples by going in to TRIM mode. Once they were all erased I then went back into RECORD mode, but when I went to sample something again it didnt do it (just like when you are out of memory) The MPC said I had extra memory available though. Is there one last step I am missing here to reset this thing!?!?! Thanks for everyones help. This crap is driving me insane.

Are you sure you tried the purge option? This will probably take of your problem.
