I noticed that too when I was playing that Lafeyette Afro rockband joint. It's on an alpha O. (I know I know, I 'll get the OG when I find it) As the record approaches the end it does lose top end and get distorted a bit, but for that particular record I like it. I kinda prefer 33.3's to sample from because 45's are usually **** up since people took less care of them, and this is coming from someone who likes some crackle. It doesn't take much for cue burn to get out of hand. "yo WTF was that, (spinning back record) that sounds hot, (again) word (one more time to make sure). you get the point. Can sound cool on samples alotta times, drum breaks are another story though.
yo if you got that joint LAR you better hold that one down cause thats hard to find ,and if you find it ,it will cost you , been looking for it my self
alpha O's are one of the best one's i have heard sound better then UBB's
although they do have some that are a bit metalic sounding like the skull snaps and synthetic sub... i have the OG of synthetic and it sounds way more bassy then the AO.
and on the back cue i dont normally BC on a 45 it's easier to pick up and place the needle ,that way you dont get that Cueburn, i got some records that that has happen to you'll learn in time, that some records wax was cheaper then others.
RCA is one i found to be cheap the get CB realy fast on the 45's
