It not about how many records you have in your collection. It's all about "looking for the perfect beat". A beat maker's record collection is a measurement of his skill as pure beat maker. Like a sarfari hunter showing off kills.
Big record collection is a sign of a pure hip hop head.
Small record collection is usually as signed of a newbee.

Sorry. Came across a bit unnecessary then.
On the real I got a lot of vinyl/cds coz I used to DJ.
Now I don't but I've kept them for a while as inspiration/ideas but as I'm in the process of producing and
writing a soul record I don't feel the need for so much hip hop in the crates anymo'.
So I'll be flogging some soon.
