Reason For Having Tons Of Vinyl?

my reason for having alot of records, is to make my room smell like dust and mold

It not about how many records you have in your collection. It's all about "looking for the perfect beat". A beat maker's record collection is a measurement of his skill as pure beat maker. Like a sarfari hunter showing off kills.

Big record collection is a sign of a pure hip hop head.

Small record collection is usually as signed of a newbee.

If you want to roll with the big dawgs.... you got to start digging in the crates

It's like asking a soldier, "why have so many bullets?" More records is more AMMO.

Sorry. Came across a bit unnecessary then.
On the real I got a lot of vinyl/cds coz I used to DJ.

Now I don't but I've kept them for a while as inspiration/ideas but as I'm in the process of producing and
writing a soul record I don't feel the need for so much hip hop in the crates anymo'.

So I'll be flogging some soon.
