Not that I really care but that still does not sound like it. If in fact those are the drums he used, the kick and snare are layered and sound pretty different.

The rhythm is similar, but I really don't think it is this at all.
I think they are layered. I have made drums patterns from one shots off of different records that sound more like a break than this (not hating on Dilla at all just saying he didn't intend for it to sound like a break)..... So if I can make it sound real.... Dilla could. I believe these are one shots, and that they were played.

The snare however sounds familiar. That might be why you think its a break.
