The trick to the 4k is the mass difference in memory size compared to other units. The 2500 (I think) maxes out at 256MB of memory, making it easier to manage that smaller amount of memory. The 4k has 512 of memory and has an odd method of writing to said memory which causes it to slow down after working heavily of a project. In the GLOBAL options on the 4k there is a command to DEFRAGMENT the memory which reorganizes the items in the memory for smoother operation, similar to a HDD on your PC, but on a smaller scale.
Loading times on the other hand are just about the same maybe due to the processors in the units. I think the 2500 may be slightly faster in that respect...
But operations like TIMESTRECH are suuuuuppppper sllllllllllooooooowww on all hardware MPCs.
High! How are you?!
