I guess ME comments went completely over your head. They were intended as a joke..pokin fun at the direction this thread is going..the same BS that has been re-hashed since the birth of this site.
There is nothing wrong with the sound of the XL and many producers do load drum sounds into them..and not just use them for sequencing. I dumped the MPC 3000 in favor of the 2500. I have been using the MPC 3000 and the XL for quite some time. I am not missing any magical..warm...grit..phatt...or any other term you want to give to the sound of any MPC.
