So are you saying that you have you have this problem with the Akai OS but this isn't an issue with the JJ OS?
yes, i have this problem with all akai os. no, i don´t know if this is an issue with the jj os, because i never tried it. also you asked about flaws of the original os and not about the jjs.
A better documentation? You mean a better implementation? Documenting bugs is not a good approach.
yes, you are right that would be even better. but till they can sort out the implementation it would be nice to have some official advice on how to use the file system properly without the risk of running into errors. like how many folders can be in the root directory. how long can file names be, etc...
we sorted most of this out already but i like to have a machine without this sort of flaws. it is not a good style of engineering not finishing a product if the customers find more bugs than the own quality control. some products can´t be upgraded after leaving the factory but the mpc can.
maybe akai can surprise us, because they did a version 2 os for the 1000 that implemented some new features. but if you look at how long it took to roll out the mpk (is it anywhere on the streets, yet?), they might be either working hard on a 4000 successor or they are really on the go down and we might not expect much more of them. but looking at their history sometimes it took them ages to release an update. you never know...
