ok, so what you are saying is that it is OK for akai to half-ass an MPC OS just to keep putting out other MPC? you are saying it is NOT OK to complain about that?
that's a very american/modern consumer zombie way of thinking. i do not agree. the MPC works, but has a few flaws. There are workarounds of course. But just remind yourself that companies keep putting out **** products because we do not complain enough about the lack of forward thinking (short-term profit thinking has a negative impact on environment and society in general)
what we should do is form a structured consumer coalition that forces the prosumer companies to respect us, and keep the quality level above average. That will not happen because the majority of consumers are well-trained zombies.
First of all, I KNEW about the bugs when I bought my 2500. Thats why you dont hear me complain. I knew what they were and how to work around them if needed. If you have such a hard time dealing with it, sell your MPC! All I ever hear from you is bitching! Shut up about what your machine has trouble with and work with what it can do. Why did you buy the 2500 if you knew it had a buggy OS? Did you not research the unit before you bought it? If you didn't, its your fault for being a moron and not looking before you took the plunge. If you did, then you knew about the bugs and should have been prepared for them.
Everyone has complained to Akai about the OS bugs. They know whats wrong and I'm sure they are fixing them. We cant force them to hurry. What do you think people have been trying to do since the 2500 release? I know that the OS has problems but the difference between you and I are that I dont whine and **** on a forum hoping to change Akai.
If you dont want to support Akai's "short term profit thinking" dont buy another MPC and sell the one that you do have. I can't say that enough. You talked about "well-trained zombies" yet your lining their pockets. Just dont buy another MPC. Its very simple. The whole reason I wrote anything is becuase I'm tired of seeing the 2500 forum littered with people's bitching. Where do you think your bitching on this forum will get you? Go talk to an Akai rep.... or email Akai.
I dont think it's OK for Akai to release another MPC but I was showing YOU that you have other options and dont need to hang on to your 2500. In fact I hope you buy something else and will spare us all the crying.
