I agree with Jahrome, they should develop another way of entering the slider-truncate mode. So you can use your right hand for triggering sounds on the pads while using your left hand on the sliders (without having to hold the AFTER KEY).
Oh yeah, they should implement the same feature on the 2 sliders of the 1000 O.S. right now. Cause i ain't got money for a 2500 yet
You will have to use your index/middle finger to press the AFTER KEY and use your thumb/pointing finger (what is the term for that?) to adjust the Q-link slider. Your other hand can beat on the pads. Its do-able..but I do agree that the other way would be better.
This same feature has been added to the MPC 4000 in April. Akai released the last MPC 1000 update earlier this year so there is still hope for future OS updates.
