I was messing with my 2500 and the jog wheel don't want to work like it's suppose....some pad and buttons won't respond accordingly....how much does this cost to get fixed?

That's a ****!

I've heard it's quite pricey to buy a new board.

that sucks...rule #1 studio equipment shall not get treatment of your jump off beeches

if it's only the main top right board with most buttons for your MPC 2500 - including jog wheel and Volume it's $95.00 + s&h and about an hour of your time to disassemble, install and put back together.

also try re-seating the connectors and spray the jog encoder with contact cleaner... even for optical encoders that can help if it's not responding well. never know, it could have slid loose over time.. and you might as well try since what ever you do will result in opening it up.

So I'm a baller like Prah.

prah

what os you using? do you have an internal hd or just use cf cards?

you could back up your files, then try re-installing the os and keep your fingers crossed.

if that don't work, i'd hit up VST Service. for newer mpc's they are good and fair on their prices.

hope things work out for you cuzn.

sounds like a good idea...like "what do I have to lose?......"

I don't know how to re-seat connectors though....but still sounds like a good idea

Same thing I tell alot of people, you'll never know until you try and I'm pretty sure your competent enough to know if and when your in too deep before you mess stuff up, so try it. You can also get contact cleaner from radio shack, frys, or other electronics shops anywhere.

As Prahzilla use to say "Real talk!"

You bought your first house when you were what, 12 years old and been balling ever since, no one can match that.
