SYSTEM TEST, What the hell does this mean?

So i just turned on my mpc and after it flashes the 128 mb installed it goes right to a screen that just says SYSTEM TEST. It's been on that screen for about 20 minutes. I shut it off a bunch of times to see if it will just go away but now i have left it and it won't go away. Man this is wierd.

remove and reinstall your ram and it should work again.

You might also want to try a factory reset, i think you hold erase when you turn it on.

Check the manual though, i've never done it

msolay, what RAM did you install in your MPC?

my ram came preinstalled from vst service.

i just took out my ram and reinstalled it. I turn the Mpc on and it still says SYSTEM TEST. I don't know what to do. Does anybody have any more ideas?

Did you try a factory reset?

i turned it on and held erase for about a minute and nothing happened. Is that how you do a factory reset?

01. Turn the MPC2500 on while holding the [ERASE] key.

02. Release the [ERASE] key after the display shows [
MPC2500 (##MB installed)].

Now the MPC2500 is reset to the Factory Preset settings.

Doesn't sound like it's gonna solve anything i'm afraid. Have you tried removing the RAM completely and then booting up to see if that helps?

Hmmm, not too sure what else to suggest. Have you called VST?

i'm going to call them tommorow because they're not open today.

That's your best bet. I am pretty sure they will quickly swap you out with another MPC if there is a problem with yours...

can they save my memory in my hardrive if this thing is screwed?
