I just got bought a turntable with receiver and powered speakers. I can plug the speakers. The receiver is a Technics SA -212, Stanton STR 8-20, and the powered speakers are Acoustic Research.
I'm able to plug RCA outs of the turntable directly to the speakers and I can hear the record at a pretty low volume. Now let me explain how I hooked the speakers up to the receiver. I connected the turntable to the receiver phono in. Next I connected the tape out to the speakers. This seems to bypass the volume control on the receiver since it only played at a pretty loud level. Is there any possible way to hook these speakers up and have control over volume?
I also have an audio interface so I want to eventually get the turntable to go through that and into the MPC 1K to sample some sounds.
