let's talk about quantize strength. this is in a lot of DAWs and is an extremely powerful TC function. (it's not in jjos, i just want to talk about it)
when we record, we have the option to use TIME CORRECT. we also have the option to record with TC OFF. both have its obvious perks. TC OFF is best for capturing exactly what you played back, but this can be unforgiving. TIME CORRECT, on the other hand, "forgiving" but in a way that (even with applications of swing) snaps your recorded notes onto a stiff grid.
QUANTIZE STRENGTH allows a compromise - a middle ground between a TC OFF recording and the same TIME CORRECTED recording.
technical example:
*TIME CORRECT 1/8, 62% swing and 100% QUANTIZE STRENGTH snaps the recording to 1/8, 62% swing. this is what happens now.
*TIME CORRECT 1/8, 62% swing and 0% QUANTIZE STRENGTH leaves the recording as is - a pure TC OFF recording.
*TIME CORRECT 1/8, 62% swing and 50% QUANTIZE STRENGTH moves the recorded notes HALFWAY in between where the item was recorded and where the TC value WANTS it to be.

metaphorical example:
consider QUANTIZE STRENGTH + TC as an ELECTROMAGNET where you can consider the force with which it changes your data.
