Hello guys.
When I've recieved my MPC1k, on the 1st day I thought: "man, it will rock" sure it is, but there are some features that I rarely use. We all have diffrent ideas how we should run this game and it's the point of this topic and it's when the fun begins!
It's not next "what is the best" type topic, but about your best personall settings. How do you fully benefit MPC1k, what feature you really dislike in it? What effect do you mostly use and opposite what effect you don't use? What is the biggest adventage of MPC1k for you and what is the worst feature in it?
Personally I think mastering thingy in MPC1k is very bad, maybe better than none, but still poor... 2nd slicing samples in MPC is pain in the ass for me. I use only few effects such as delay and reverb (maybe I'm not that advenced but I never really felt like it is important for me to play with effect shit). Patched phrase is option which I've never used. I like the way you can play the sound and the whole sequencing thing as it puts arrangment into easier task. What I really hate is that when I chop some samples, then I play and when I need to fill beat with additional sounds I have to stop my whole sequence go load sound to a program and then I can check how it fits my beat, but mostly it doesn't - time consuming.
