Hey folks,
Longtime reader, first time poster or something along those lines!!
I have made the move from an 2000 to a 2500 after much debate...... I dont miss taking 45 mins to chop a 4 bar loop to 32 parts but I do miss the jog wheel from the 2000 and the tank like feel either.... anyways.
I have the jjos 5.52 on the 2500 and was considering going to using the Akai OS. I have seen the spec sheet for the comparisions between the jjos1, jjos2 and akai OS but was wanting to know if it would be considered a good move. My situation is that I want to work on an OS that is stable and have read that the jjos is not. Any advice?
Also when chopping the sample on the jjos...... I chopped a 4 bar into 32, assign to program, add 3 kicks, 2 snares and hihats etc then got to record my seq and find that the sounds are cancelling out ie. almost like the frequency on the kick cancels the hi hat and also the samples only play the first 32nd of a note. I read that it is the too many voices. Question is is that if 32 voices are used and recorded on one part or if 32 are used on one program?
This was not a problem on my 2000 where i would use 3 banks of samples and a full bank of drums.
Any help would be appreciated!
Cheers
