Hey All...
Ok, I went from making beats in FLS to the MPC 1000. I am a fan of sampling everything I put into a song off of vinyl. Here is my problem...
I grab the sample I want to use off of vinyl. I got a ahead and chop it up...For some reason I end up making many of my beats at a 95bpm. So...when I chop and then create a program I the of course start creating my song.
What I'm getting is my chops are not connecting when I am sequencing them. I have small gaps between all the samples. I have tried playing with the the time stretch feature and I'm either getting the sample to play to fast or way to slow, which effect the quality of the sample.
Any tips ideas...
Oh yea, I did notice that by default my BPM was 120. I did change it to 90...not sure if that did any good.
I have been ready the MPCSamples.com tutorial, they explain much about chopping drums, but not about chopping music or sounds.
Thanks for the patience!
