I've been using an old Sandisk 2gb cf card ever since I got my 1K but I think it's time to get a new memory card. I've been looking around and seeing these 8gb and 16gb high speed cards that have higher transfer rates than my old sandisk so my question is... are these types of cf cards compatible with a 1K with JJOS2XL or will I just spend my money and not get the full benefit from these cards? I want to get a 16gb card but want to make sure that my mpc will be able to read/use the full 16gb and that if I get a cf card with a higher transfer rate I want to be sure that I actually see an increase in sample loading time (I'm not sure if the cf card would actually have anything to do with the sample or project loading time). I'm sure I will be able to see the difference when I connect the cf card to my card reader on my pc and transfer files back and forth but will I get anything out of it when using it with my mpc? If my mpc wont recognize the full capacity of the card and/or utilize the full speed of it then I'll just get a regular old 4gb card and save some cash. I know a lot of you have hard drives but I want to stick to cf cards. Thanks guys.
