(i'm reposting this in the good forum as suggested - added some details)
Hi there !
Still super happy with JJOS2XL on my MPC 1000, it's smoking.
Currently using JJOS 2XL 3.33
I have to do live Jam recently.
While playing, I can record all the notes on the fly (and pitch bend and anything) I want, on any track, no problem. But after a few minutes you naturally need to change your patterns, and then, I got a problem :
I can't find how to erase a whole track in one time, all I can do is : record(over dub) + erase + [A bar], so it's deleting the current BAR of the track.
but this manipulation has many problems :
- only delete 1 bar a time. So on a long pattern, you have to wait for the full pattern until it's deleted !
- it does not delete pitch changes, only the notes. Wich is a bigger problem, since when I play again on this, it's bending my pitch with the latests move still in the box.
A track mute isn't enough since my idea is to rewrite another track on the fly (and then not possible since the track is muted and not empty)
I hope I'm clear enough with my english.
Can someone tell me if I miss something or the reasons of such limitations ?
The only thing I really miss is a simple button "erase track" that works while playing.
---- I also noticed this limitation from the JJOS : when you play a sequence, if you've done some recording, then you can NOT change the sequence before you make STOP (wich breaks the live jam situation ..). (however, that was possible on older JJOS 2XL versions, but some bugs occured : the latest recorded tracks were finally found on the next sequence, wich was a big mess
) So I guess this limitation is a protection against this bug. ----
THanks for your help !
