Is Akai upset about this? Has anyone been sued? Nope -- apparently, Akai is a fan of the new operating systems, even though they're getting cut out of the $30 fee being charged by these programmers. The replacement OS's make Akai's hardware better, so even though they might be losing sales of the 2500, the company apparently figures that overall, these software writing parasites are beneficial to their bottom line. It sort of reminds me of the alligator getting cleaned by birds -- everybody wins.
