Its not even a year in the making since I have bought my 500
but I am over impressed. as a beat programmer i had never sequenced
using an MPC before you could say I was NOOB. I have used AKAI
samplers before s950,s2000,xl3000 but i never had a chance with the MPC
DAAAAAAMNNNN I HAVE SERIOUSLY BEEN MISSING THIS MACHINE.
Today I sequenced a beat using my motherboard and reason midi'd up
to the 500 took the quantise off, (I saw sum guy do this on youtube)
and banged the fattest little sixteen bar ever. Seriously the Akai groove is
alive and kicking, I have been making beats in studios for 10 years and every
piece of equipment I had ever bought was computer stuff. Now im kicking it
retro with a mixer turntable 500 and ma pc/soundcard and headphones until i get
some monitors but if you are on a budget get one eventually il sell my pc and get
the 2500 i recommend MPC500 all the way.
