Since the v. 1.31 is out this probably should be the 1.31+ Wish List now but since AKAI didn't really bring in any new features to the .31 the list is the same anyway..
This feature would be nice: In trim mode a setting which would make it possible to play a sample an adjustable amount of samplepoints
before the endpoint. So that long samples would be alot easyer/faster to trim since you woudn't have to wait from the startpoint till the endpoint. I know you can set the startpoint close to the end point and so shorten the time you have to listen to it but this would mean that you'd have to write down your original start point to find it again fast. The workflow would improve alot with this feature if you could trigger it with one of the pads 1-8 after setting the value which could be 88200 (2sec) as default. It's really frustrating listening to a long sample the 20th time adjusting the end point. Makes you almost hate the whole sample before you even had the chance to integrate it into your beat.
Would be cool if someone could summarize this feature into a nice short phrase to fit neatly into the list, since i'm no native speaker.
All the other suggestions are just great! The thing i miss most is definately sequenceble trackmutes, trackvolume and direct recording. Chop Shop sounds like utopia to me but i can't help looking at the little display and thinking "Waveforms.. Why not?"..

Ps.: eimer I know pitch-shifting is possible and i actually use your chart alot but it's all about mathematical formulas and values and i would be suprised if the hardware couldn't be able to solve those, so that there would be a menupoint in trim called pitch shift, you adust the pitch and the OS does the rest. All a matter of workflow. Why go from A to B through C?
