Coin, chill out a bit bro. Youve been pretty cool with all my other posts. Don't come at me like some ignorant dumb beginner. If you need more information, just be cool about it and ask.
So to answer your questions, no the data is not in step edit, it only happens when "window" is set at high values and when my pattern is setup for a longer time frame like 8 bars. I'm producing hip hop, not classical, so yea 4/4 would be the one for that. And it will do it on 1/8, 1/16, and 1/32.
And no, the manual does not make it so clear. It jus says its the effected window from the time control point. Now does 100% mean 100% of a measure, or of the full 8 bars, or just 100% of the room between 16th notes? I want some examples of what the difference actually is from low to high settings with window. Because when its on hi, it seems most of the times I lose mad midi data. This is now TWO MPC5ks this happens with. I have been just turning it off and calling it a day, but I wanted to get some feed back. If its so obvious and the manual is oh so clear, how come nobody can answer the question? Your the only one who read it and tried to reply out of all the readers. So obviously its not oh so obvious as you claim.
Give it a try with the settings I mentioned (default), and you may be surprised. Its not an involved time consuming test, so its should be an easy one.
