Hi there,
I have an MPC 1000, JJOS2XL and I'm using Cuabse 5.5.3. The MPC MIDI in and out are connected to my Focusrite.
I'd like to use my MPC to record and play back sounds into Cubase i.e. Press record in Cubase, perform drum beat on MPC (using MPC sounds) then playback from cubase.
Sounds simple enough and when I do the same with my OP-1 or Microbrute I simply select a MIDI track, select the desired device as the MIDI in and out, then record and play back.
With the MPC however I'm getting a MIDI loop causing double notes. This occurs only when hitting the pads and I'm assuming this is because I'm hearing the note played from the MPC and Cubase simultaneously, but because I've never had this issue with any other device I can't seem to solve it.
I've used this forum loads since I purchased my MPC over a month ago and it's been an invaluable knowledge base. I've had a good search but for this specific issue I can't seem to find a definitive answer.
Many thanks!
PS - A simple workaround is to not have the MPC selected as a MIDI out until after I've recorded but that removes the option to overdub when recording in Cubase.
