...two facts....
the new soft mpc's will NEVER EVER reach the tightness of the old hardware sequencers....
even if version 1.0 has no bugs at all, that push and play rock solid here we go feeling will never return.....no chance...
and when mpc was designed for the first time, by roger linn, it was NO HIP HOP background instrument AT ALL.....
ten years later, when they became affordable because of used ones out there to buy, it slowly became an instrument used by hiphoppers....because of one simple fact....you can get tight basic tracks with real groove out of it, even without any music skills....
