But I take your post for face value. This items are massed produced and assembled in a factory. So I am sure there are units that could possibly be flawed in some way.
By the way....I only commented in this thread as this is not something isolated to the Ren. Even back in Namm 2012, Flux spoke to Dan about the number of hardware MPC buttons he has broken and whether the Ren would have a different button design. "Don't smash the buttons" as they respond really well.
