I dont care about audio tracks. I dont want the MPC to be able to do everything like reason or whatever. just use reason or pro tools for the things that theyre good at (audio editing, mixing). I like having limited options. It makes me think different. When you have all this extra **** that you can supposedly do, you end up getting stuck versus being creative and figuring out a workaround to get it done.
not to say they shouldnt update and upgrade everything, but limited options arent always a bad thing. they just need to be rock solid and make sense for the MPCs intended purpose.
((fyi i use the MPC for my whole music process (sampling, composing, mixing, etc), except tracking vocals in which i use protools))
Better if they implement things (that work) and you can ignore them as part of your workflow...if that makes you more creative. Maybe those restrains you enjoy for your creativity are flowkillers for others. just sayin.
