1.in a modern computer, you can't plug an old black and white monitor, or play an old video game, or run an early version of fl studio. so, i suppose, after a few years that computers will have advanced, the mpc ren will be unusable? (while older mpcs will work fine)
2.if there is an mpc with out cpu..then an mpc without audio i/o...and then an mpc without screen...but all these machines have that 'legendary mpc workflow' that makes them worth buying. consider the following addition to the series too.
'MPC NOTHING'. THAT would be a real rennaisance. it will be only in download version, and will just be a 720 x 576 green screen with the akai os with all the legendary features. most of us already have a midi controller to hit on some pads, an audio interface and keyboard arrows/shift/etc to transport, so we won't even have the need to touch the mouse.
see? 'MPC NOTHING'. all the legendary features and user-friendly simplicity, full pc integration, and no need for additional hardware and money. you can sell it for 50 euros or something and we are all set.
but if you don' do it i will persuade the JJoS guys to make something similar. i hope you like my idea. MPC Nothing! please support me here in the community, together we stand. we want MPC NOTHING now!
...
this is not entirely a joke. for real, i want someone to explain me how the new mpc's actually compare to my imaginary mpc nothing. if you want pc integration and mpc simplicity, why don't you just sell me the sequencer, and want me to buy another audio interface and another midi controller and all that.
