A Few Questions
How do I apply the 16 q-link effects to a sample on the Ren? It doesn't seem to be like the MPC-1000 where you open the q-link window, hit the sample and then you adjust how you want it to sound.
How do I extend the amount of regions in my sample when I set it to be chopped? In other words, I open the sample edit window, I hit chop, and there will only be 4 regions, or 6. I got a different number every time.
How do I apply low pass, high pass, mid boost filters? Can't find it. Unless it has to do with the q-link issue.
I loaded all of those goddamn cd's that came with the Ren into my computer, and when I go to load the sounds into the current Ren project I'm working on, I can't find them anywhere. wtf?
Some of these questions may sound stupid, but in 20 years Ive never used software with my hardware. Unless when recording. All ive really been able to do is make simple loops with subtle variations. It's killing me. Im sure all you beat makers and producers know the frustration of when you hear the next part of your beat in your head, go to apply it, get hung up with technical issues, and then the vibe is dead.
