chopping is still being refined. there are some outstanding (not in the good way) bugs that need to be fixed. i haven't heard from them in a while - since my last BR - i'll have to do some more testing and check in.

on the upside, sequencing is stable as hell...i've been finishing my album on 128xl and it hasn't frozen on me at all.

let's hope they've been busy and that we'll hear something soon.

i had this operating freeze on me probably 10 times in a row in a matter of minutes. i wasn't recording, though. i was trimming chops. i haven't encountered it freezing in record mode.

that's honestly a good thing, the repeatability. bugs that jump up out of nowhere are much more threatening. did you report it? if not, care to give me a heads up so i can do it?

Nym is like our spokesperson for jjos. btw cant wait to hear the album. im more scared of being so deep in a beat and the thing freezes on me  must save constantly.

saving constantly is always good practice.

in the off chance that any of my software hangs on me (temporarily) i always have that lurch of terror...."how much time did i just lose? will i be able to recreate what i just did? was my autosave active (in reaper)?"

one reason why jjos of various versions freezes VERY RARELY for me is because i am mostly in modes that i have tested exhaustively...drum/midi grid, MAIN, seq edit, GPE, and usually TRIM/SLICE. i have worn a bug-free path to and from my needed functions in those modes. i can only recommend that others do the same in the functions they use most. it takes time, but it is absolutely worth it as you influence development in a way that is extremely relevant to your own particular workflow.

over the last couple months, i have been in the polishing/tracking stage of my songs - finishing sequencing/deep editing and then exporting my songs. this means i have not been spending as much time in TRIM/SLICE, for instance. as mentioned, there are several bugs in destructive slice that have been reported. i receive a couple more in PM yesterday - reported those and heard back from the jj team already. a part of me wishes they'd expand the operation and bring another programmer into the fold.

i'm looking forward to the next update, mostly because i'm extremely excited to start a new song for the first time in maybe 5 months.

i honestly can't remember what exactly triggered it (it's been a couple weeks), but i can say that it was the same exact thing that triggered it every time. if and when it happens again, i'll report it. i apologize for not doing so, initially. i was just so preoccupied with it freezing, and finding a workflow that wouldn't trigger the bug, i totally didn't think of reporting it.

hy everybody. i,m using jjos 128xl with the xlcd quite recently so there is still much to discover. in most instances i,m happy with it compared to the akai os but i have a similar problem like yours. it was the 3rd time that my mpc was freeze,i think because i have turned the dial maybe to fast?:-) but i have a little bit of fear that this could be more often happen. with the akai os i never have such problems so what do you think about the jjos 128xl???? is this just a little bug or a huge problem?

i,ve installed the jjos last week so it is new,but i,ve seen that the 128xl version is updated yesterday, dont know if that is a new update or if there any bugfixes.
but i,ve found a new bug. when i am in the trackmute window and i press the funktionkey for padmute, it will unmute the track that are choose in the trackmute window on the right side.

i've heard about that the use of effects in the mpc can affect the functionality. my problems was in the case where i've use all 4 effects at the same time. can that be?
