has anybody tried painting the rubber armrest? i know forat does them so its not impossible. what kind of paint do i need to use? im too cheap to buy a new one and its a **** to keep clean anyway

when i first bought it, the armrest was in real bad shape. the previous owner wrote stuff on it and it was badly discolored, so i sanded off a layer but now its dirty from my elbow grease and sweat. i should look into getting it wrapped in leather

isopropyl rubbing alcohol did the trick. the arm rest looks good as new. also worked excellent for getting all the fringer grime off the metal panels

how do you dismantle the armrest fr a 3000?
Is it some screws in the back?

its attached by 3 screws from underneath

You want to use an Acrylic paint....preferably latex to paint on leather and or rubber......simple as that!

erkl lemme get a fry....I'm a run over to WAWA grab some coffee......do this album cover art and pull an all nighter......my 60 is in FORAT's hands now...so i'm beatless.....still got the sp-1200 and EMAX over my mans crib....i'll post something new Sunday.
