I'm new to this so please help me out...
I'm trying to record mono samples into my MPC 60. However, the signal coming in sounds messed up...the volume level of the instruments in the center of the mix (i.e. bass, vocals, etc,) is greatly reduced. I've tried changing the mono/stereo zone switch on the back of my mixer, but in both positions I'm getting the same signal. What I've been doing so far to avoid this is panning my mixer to one side...that seems to give me a balanced signal.
Is this the normal way to do it? I'm worried that I'm not getting the best signal.
thanks.
