is there a way to make all samples cut each other off in the 3000? without having to set each one? It such a pain in the ass. I think Im gonna buy a 2000xl just for the samples so they will cut each other off.. its so difficult to get the chops to sound right when they dont cut each other off...

set everything to note off. get your chops the way you want them and then either set the mutes there or trim down you samples to get them just right. you can get quick at this... also note off is better sometimes because you can keep the tail end of a sample while the next pad starts playing so it's smoother/more natural instead of just having everything quickly cut off.

oh really? I didnt know that? You cant just automatically set all the pads to cut each other off on the 2000xl?

The newer mpc's have the mute group function, allowing to set groups of samples that cut each other.

The pad mutes of the 2000/2000XL work the same as in the 3000. You can set 1 pad to cut two other pads.

You have to go to params and set each pad still.
