johanjsm wrote:set everything to note off. get your chops the way you want them and then either set the mutes there or trim down you samples to get them just right. you can get quick at this... also note off is better sometimes because you can keep the tail end of a sample while the next pad starts playing so it's smoother/more natural instead of just having everything quickly cut off.

oh really? I didnt know that? You cant just automatically set all the pads to cut each other off on the 2000xl?
